The Sweetheart of Sigma Chi
The naming of the “Sweetheart of Sigma Chi” is tradition for each undergraduate chapter. A woman is chosen each year that exemplifies the values and ideals of our fraternity. This individual not only embodies these values, but also supports our brothers in all chapter endeavors.
The 2016-2017 Sweetheart of Sigma Chi
"I am so honored to be the 2016-2017 sweetheart of the Iota Lambda chapter of Sigma Chi! The men in this chapter are such a unique group—their dedication to philanthropy events such as RaiseRed, scholarship, and the betterment of our university is truly unmatched. They challenge me to be the best version of myself and to uphold the same values that they do. Many of favorite memories from my college years have been spent with the men of Sigma Chi, and I cannot wait to spend many years with these wonderful guys long after we graduate! I am so excited so see what the rest of my time as sweetheart holds for me—I have absolutely loved this experience and am already dreading for it to come to an end."
Words From Our Sweetheart:
"My name is Morgan Fritz and I am currently a Junior pursuing a degree in Accountancy. I grew up in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky where I attended Beechwood Independent School for 13 years. Upon graduating from the University of Louisville, I hope to live in Cincinnati and become a Certified Public Accountant. During my time at U of L, I have been involved in and held leadership positions in numerous organizations such as Relay for Life, RaiseRed, Order of Omega, Delta Sigma Chi, the Panhellenic Council, and the Chi Omega Fraternity. The Beta Gamma chapter of Chi Omega has been recognized as a top five chapter in the nation and has had the highest overall GPA on campus for 9 consecutive years. Being the Iota Lambda chapter sweetheart for Sigma Chi has already been so rewarding and I am so excited to continue to give back to this chapter that means so much to me!"
